Either we will influence society or we will be influenced by society! Therefore Christian thinking must not hide in a pious ghetto. Everyone is called to deal and wrestle with the ideologies and world views of our present time.

This course takes a historical look at the prevailing philosophies and ideologies which lie beneath the social and political issues of present day society. Students are shown how to evaluate what they read, see and hear from a biblical perspective. The course encourages students to become responsible Christians within society, and exercise a positive influence in such areas of life as economics, politics, education, arts, media etc.

A Christianity that is engaged with and involved in society also needs Christians, who know what they believe and why and what they don't believe and why.

Romans 12-2 expresses very well, what this school wants to teach its students:
"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will."
