We have started our fall schools today! We are so excited to be doing a Messianic Focus Discipleship Training School and also running and English School. We have 9 students in total. The first week is always a time of transition and learning. We have Jorge Sedaca with us this week teaching. He is a Messianic Rabbi and the National Director of Chosen People Ministries (Canada). Please come and join us for any sessions you are available.
Here is the list of rabbi's that are coming to speak in this fall's DTS. We have set a fee of $15/day to sit in on classes and this fee includes lunch. The reason for the fee is so that we are having integrity with the students who are paying money to be a part of the DTS. If we just allow lots of people to join in at no cost then we feel that is not fair to the students.
Also, we would like to avoid as much jumping in and out as possible.
So, if you plan to come please plan to come for a whole morning and not just an hour here and there. Coming in and out of the classroom an hour at a time can be very disruptive to the students and the speaker.
All that said, we are excited about what the rabbi's will be bringing and the deep wisdom and understanding they can offer us. We are also excited to have as many people taking part in these lectures as possible. This is an incredible opportunity and we want to share it with everyone.
Also, on Friday nights at 5pm at Blackfalds Community Fellowship (Pastor George's church) we are going to be having a "shabbat" that we'd like to invite you to. Shabbat is the meal that begins sabbath for the jewish people. There is a short "ceremony" that families do every Friday night. Sometimes it's certain prayers that are prayed, sometimes is blessings of your family, etc. For the meals on Friday night, YWAM will be supplying the meat and
everyone else can bring salad, dessert, bread etc. etc. Whatever!
We'd love to have you join us for those Friday night meals as often as possible as part of our YWAM family.
If you have any questions please just call or email me otherwise let us know when you'd like to come and we look forward to seeing you at class and at "shabbat"!

This week the School of Biblical Christian Worldview started with 7 students. We are very excited to have these students join us here at YWAM Blackfalds and look forward to getting to know them all better. We also have several new staff from Korea, Mexico, and South Africa.
Our renovations continue on the top half of our building. The guest speakers apartment has been finished but we are still several weeks away from finishing the new office space. If you are interested in helping out we would love to see you :)

We are in full swing right now with both a DTS and an ESL school running in addition to "After the Grind.". We are also 1/2 through major renovations on the second floor of our building. We are renovating a two bedroom apartment for housing our guest speakers/guests, and the other half of the second floor is being turned into much needed office space.
Do you know anyone that would like to get their hands dirty and help us with the renovations? We have had several work bees and expect that we will need many more before the project is finished. Contact our office if you can help :)

This past summer After the Grind (ATG) turned one and we celebrated by finishing the renovations that had to wait for winter to end. The coffee shop now has new windows in front, a wheel chair ramp, patio area with tables & chairs, and a paved parking lot in the back. These projects where completed with generous help from many friends and local businesses. Thank you so much to all of you who made these projects possible!

The coffee shop is open! Today was our first day of business at "After the Grind." We look forward to seeing how God uses this new tool for Kingdom. Click here for more information and pictures.
Many people have volunteered their time and money to make this project a success. We believe that the coffee shop is going to open many doors into the community and allow us to raise funds for some very important projects both in Blackfalds and around the world.
